Legends of Golden Sands

It is no coincidence that developers chose Golden Sands for the construction of the upmarket Argisht Partez Aparthotel complex. What is the history of this popular and lively place? Today we will tell you about it in a little more detail. The choice of the resort’s beautiful name cannot be called accidental. According to legend, the coast was a favourite haunt of pirates and an ideal hideaway where they concealed their stolen treasures. The earth decided to take revenge on the robbers and turned the gold into the shining golden sand that we enjoy to this day.

Another interesting story concerns the «clearing» of the complex’s land from the numerous snakes that inhabited the area before it was built. To combat the reptiles, specialists ordered hedgehogs from Albania, which were dropped from a plane over the resort. This is a legend that staff of the Golden Sands complex and residents of Varna still tell their guests to this day.

A curious fact is that once upon a time there was a freshwater lake on the territory of Golden Sands, home to water turtles, which was one of the remarkable local attractions.
