Notaries in Bulgaria to receive direct electronic access to databases on property tax assessments and heirs' rights

This decision was announced in April 2025 by the Minister of Electronic Governance of Bulgaria at a meeting with representatives of the Notary Chamber.

Previously, in order to carry out real estate purchase and sale transactions, it was necessary to provide paper certificates of tax assessment and certificates of inheritance. Now these documents will be available to notaries through electronic registers.
