Procedure for purchasing property in Bulgaria.

1. Once you have chosen a property, you need to reserve it. You pay a €2,000 reservation fee, a property reservation agreement is signed, and the property is taken off the market.

2. On the basis of this agreement, you pay for the property according to the payment schedule set out in the contract. For each payment, you receive a payment confirmation.

3. You open an account with a Bulgarian bank.

4. Once payment is complete, a day is scheduled for the notarial execution. The execution may be carried out either remotely or in person. After execution, you receive the Notary Deed of ownership and a Bulstat – the identification number for a foreigner.
