What Makes Tsarevo Interesting for Tourists and Investors

No town in Bulgaria has probably changed its name as often as Tsarevo. It was called Vasiliko, Vasilikos, Michurin. Thanks to its unique location, beautiful nature and forest and sea riches, the town has long become a place where it's pleasant to spend holidays and live.

Tsarevo is located 70 km south of Burgas, 30 km from the Bulgarian-Turkish border. It stretches as a narrow ribbon along a small peninsula and is conventionally divided into a new part and an old, Greek one.

Once, all the locals lived in the area now called the old part. After a fire in the early 20th century, the Greeks were forced to leave the town, and the remaining residents and newcomers began building houses in the new part. As a result, the new district became the town centre, where shops and restaurants operate year-round, and there's a school, kindergarten and stadium. Especially active construction took place here during Communist Party rule. 

The old part was forgotten in those times, and only after the fall of communism did new houses, residential complexes and hotels start rising here. Many in the Greek style. Today this district is a tourist one. Here you can buy a flat for holidays and renting out.

On the two local beaches, Nestinarka and Vasiliko, in summer bars, cafés, restaurants and rentals of sports and beach equipment operate. Vasiliko is also known for the fact that part of it is set aside as a nudist beach.

Actually, Tsarevo has 5 more beaches, and anyone who chooses the town for permanent residence or holidays will find where to relax. And the enchanting landscapes with rocky shores giving way to golden ribbons of sand and green forests will leave unforgettable memories in visitors' hearts.

In the old district, apartments are offered in luxurious residential complexes 100 m from the beach with pools and parkland. There are studios, two-room and three-room flats in complexes with small cosy grounds and relaxation areas. Modest options start from €460. The price of luxurious sea-view flats is about €800/m².

Tsarevo's tourist orientation shapes business development. Despite the presence of large supermarkets, new small shops and fruit kiosks operate in the town. A popular investment is bars and cafés.
