For a while, the waters run in parallel, and thanks to the play of colours, currents and waves, an incredible combination of calm river and wild sea is born.

The sound effects here are also unique — if you settle on the spit on the Veleka side, all sounds fade away. You can watch the quiet water, boats, frolicking children and windsurfers for hours. Step over to the sea shore and you'll be met by the crash of waves and the howl of the wind. The landscape will be different — waves, dolphins, hundreds of birds.

Every morning people come to the mouth of the Veleka to do yoga — those seeking to find themselves, find peace, and take a break from those around them. This place is a testament to how carefully people can treat nature while still developing business. The land here isn't dug up; next to a bar and a medical centre there remains a small marsh with tadpoles, and rare flowers grow. 

The mouth of the Butamyata is quite different. A wide beach with golden sand — a place for tourists who prefer noisy, active holidays. Nearby, residential complexes are being actively built where you can buy studios and two-room and three-room apartments.

Life in Sinemorets

There are no schools or kindergartens in Sinemorets; a couple of small shops and cafés operate year-round. And yet, people come here not only in summer.

The village is popular with family couples and retirees from England, Germany and the Netherlands. Moving here for permanent residence, some begin growing vegetables and fruit, keeping bees, and going fishing. Others open summer bars, restaurants and shops, or rent out homes. Others build architecturally unique houses. Here you'll find a cottage in the shape of a snail.

There are just a few nightlife venues that host regular discos and concerts. There are no cinemas. Small restaurants serve delicious national and international dishes made from fresh vegetables and freshly-caught fish. 

In summer, many tourists come to the resort village. They're drawn by the travel opportunities — from the village you get a magnificent view of the Strandzha Mountains. Eco-routes lead to the town of Ahtopol and the beautiful beaches of Listi, Lipite and Silistar. In the village you can go windsurfing and try beach sports.
